3 Traps Mind Shifting Academy Helps You Avoid
After training hundreds of coaches and therapists, three traps keep most of them stuck — no matter how talented they are.

After training hundreds of coaches and therapists, I've noticed three traps that keep most of them stuck — no matter how talented they are.
Trap 1: Outdated methods
Most coaches are trained in the same handful of modalities (Life coaching, NLP, hypnotherapy, counselling, CBT etc) that have been around for 20–40 years. Clients can feel it. The work is fine, but it doesn't shift them — and that means the coach can't stand out, can't charge premium prices, and quietly burns out doing 1:1s that take months to generate results.
Trap 2: Limiting beliefs
This one's uncomfortable for people to hear, but it's the biggest one. If you have a subconscious belief that says "I'm not the kind of person who runs a six-figure practice" or "making money is hard" — your business will keep proving that belief right, until you clear it.
Trap 3: Marketing that eats your life
Posting on social media every day, chasing leads in DMs, filming videos all the time. It's exhausting, and worse — it leaves you with no time to actually coach. The coaches I see thriving have a time-efficient system for getting new clients and a coaching method so good that referrals do most of the work.
